A passion for design, a dedication to sustainability, and the excitement of discovering untapped potential in neglected objects gave rise to Revived By Design.

It became clear that my husband and I had different interior design tastes when we moved in together while we were engaged. However, we soon discovered that our newly merged family of six needed to locate more resources that were within our budget when searching for furniture to furnish our new home. We searched Facebook Marketplace for the ideal items to fill our house, brought them home, and upcycled them to fit the design we had always dream of at a fraction of the cost of what we saw in the store.

Guests to our home praised the pieces’ craftsmanship and urged us to keep making them available on Marketplace.  Custom orders started coming which allowed our business to grow beyond Marketplace.  I would assist customers with dreaming up what they wanted their custom piece to be, my husband would assist with repairs and furniture preparation, and I would finish with painting.  As we saw the happiness and value our crafts and furniture gave to homes in our surrounding communities, what had begun as a little pastime soon became a full-fledged business. We are proud to be a part of the next chapter in each piece’s unique journey.
